Build Bridges and Flyovers, Ditjen Bina Marga Collaborates with Mining Companies

The Directorate General (Ditjen) of Bina Marga and four mining companies signed an agreement to build three flyovers and one bridge on the national road in South Kalimantan (Kalsel). The development is a form of corporate social responsibility (CSR) from the company whose area of operation is in South Kalimantan.
The mining companies are PT Antang Gunung Meratus, PT Binuang Mitra Bersama, PT Hasnur Jaya Internasional and PT Talenta Bumi. All of the flyovers and bridges were built on the national road section of Marabahan-Margasari, South Kalimantan. The signing was carried out at the Directorate General of Highways' office in Jakarta on Wednesday (5/7) evening witnessed by the Director General (Ditjen) of Highways Arie Setiadi Moerwanto and Bridge Director of the Directorate General of Highways Iwan Zarkasih.
Arie expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the companies. According to him the concept of bridge infrastructure / fly over as a form of corporate CSR will be applied in other regions. If in South Kalimantan, the companies invited to cooperate are those operating in the mining sector, so in Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan the companies that are invited to collaborate are the oil palm sector.
"We learn from South Kalimantan, we will try to apply this also in Bengkulu and South Sumatra, which face the same problem," continued the Director General of Highways.
This collaboration was felt to be very beneficial, amidst still limited government funds to build road and bridge infrastructure. "PT Talenta is already (going to construction), PT Hasnur is negotiating with its service providers. We have also reported this to the Minister (Public Works and Public Housing / PUPR), and he plans to come to the field directly in September or October to check progress in the field, "said Sugi.
Sugi said, even though the construction was carried out by the contractor appointed directly by the mining company and was not bound by the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 54 of 2010 concerning Government Procurement of Goods / Services because it did not use APBN funds, it continued to provide technical design approval and advice. technical and supervision during the construction process.
"We keep a close readiness of the criteria for the design, but it must be design-worthy. We have accompanied from the beginning. Because later on after the construction, flyovers and bridges are completed, there will be a grant process to become the assets of Bina Marga, we will be able to function properly, "he continued.
